When I moved to US about 22 years ago Tangra's food gave me comfort in the land of the unknown. In all these years the quality and taste remain the same and so do the owners who are down to earth, generous and welcoming. Having tried a variation of dishes throughout the years my go to will always be chicken manchurian soup, chicken lollipop, chicken manchurian gravy, shrimp fried rice and Tangra masala noodles. These never fail to please my palate. Those of you who have yet to try Indian fusion Chinese, I would request you to please do so. You will need to try it to know why a lot of us South East Asians are so crazy about this merger of Indian flavors with Chinese dishes. And what better place than Tangra which has been an establishment in the Queens food scene since 2001.

I grew up going to Tangra and happened to be in the area with a large group of family so we all went. The space is extremely large so I don't think reservations are ever needed to be honest. We ordered a whole bunch of food including soup, lollipop chicken, and several different noodle and beef & chicken dishes. It is definitely better to it's counterparts such as Sagar and is more affordable as well. I will return again with my family as it's halal and known well in the community.

Coming back here - I can always expect the same quality and incredible spice levels. I tried a few more items this time and absolutely loved the paneer pakoras and the paneer burger. The pakoras here are just next level and the paneer burger was so well cooked and seasoned and all the chutneys perfectly complimented the burger. They also give fries with the burger. Can't wait to be back!

Came for lunch on a Saturday for lunch and it had a really nice ambiance! Also lots of parking which made it a plus. For appetizers: 1. Fried chicken momos were so good! Would definitely come back again for this. They added sauces on the side which were also great. 2. Chicken hot and sour soup was my favorite. It was so flavorful, def coming back! Next time I come I would try the chicken lollipops and masala fries! For entrees, I tried the Tangra Masala chow mein and was not a fan. It was not flavored as well and average tasting at best. Would stick to appetizers if I came next time because those were so good!
